An Apology Note (From Me to You, Whoever 'You' May Be)

To Whom it May (and May Not) Concern,

I am truly sorry for the way I have been acting as of late. My "creative pieces" are scattered and poorly written...unfortunate products of laziness I must confess. I was, and still am, burned out. I ain't got no steam no' mo', but my stokers are shoveling as fast as they can, and hopefully I'll be shipshape and tearing my way through Microsoft Word soon enough. Thanks for standing by me, those of you who have, and thank you for reading. Keep yr. eyes peeled...something good is a comin' round the bend...I can feel it.

  1. Sound like the lyrics from a Johnny Cash song. Do you have music lyrics rolling around inside?

  2. Even stokers need a little stoke, no worries. I admit, I do check this everyday... but cheers! In all due time.

  5. I was thinking about one of my favorite book series, 'A Song of Ice and Fire' by George R R Martin. He published book #4 five years ago and needless to say, the clamour from his fans for book #5 is getting on his nerves. His comments to them say that he wants to produce a book that meets their expectations, that writers can't always just "turn it on" and that he has a varied life that includes many other things. While you have certain creative deadlines driven by being a student who must produce some work on command, good creative work will always need to come at its own pace. We can wait.
