You need to write when the words come to you. If chapter four comes tomorrow, in three years or never what matters is you never force it. When I write about you guys or other people I don't necessarily write one long piece. Maybe what you need to do is write a couple short stories with our characters. Just follow what you feel like writing about. Don't worry about the mechanics of it, worry about the flow and emotion. What interests you should interest us. If you're getting bored then we probably will too.
stephen I think what you should to is make this story a total of parts, so instead of focusing on chapters and moving forward all the time, maybe if you continue writing about this person in snapshots, you can piece it together like a collection of stories and it can become one product. do you know what I'm saying? I wouldn't force it either. but do consider a puzzle-y approach. I think it could work.
Don't just write it for the sake of writing it. You'll know when the next puzzle piece comes along...forced writing becomes a throwaway. Strive for the lasting. (I'm so deep!)

ReplyDeleteagree with addie, you could make it a pulp fiction type of sorts. don't force it, cause then it'll be no good.
